LUMAT Summer School

International LUMAT Summer School 2022 will be organized on June 15th, following the LUMAT research symposium. In the Summer School, you will have the opportunity to develop your methodological know-how. This year the theme will be Sustainability and Education, similarly to the LUMAT research symposium. We will focus on interview as a research method. Besides interesting programme, you can network with other doctoral researchers on the field of science education.

Summer school is free of charge and organized online.

PhD Hanna Viitala

Keynote lecture: Hanna Viitala

PhD Hanna Viitala is a researcher and a university teacher in mathematics education at Åbo Akademi University in Finland. Her main research interest is related to teaching and learning collaborative problem solving. Previously she has studied for instance students’ affect and mathematical thinking, as well as teachers’ professional development. Methodologically, her main research interest is qualitative research and she has experience in both individual and group interviews.
