Teachers’ Climate Change Forum – Participate virtually

Teachers’ Climate Change Forum (TCCF) is a climate change forum organized by the University of Helsinki, LUMA Centre Finland and the Institute for Atmospheric and Earth System Research (INAR).

The forum is a continuous development program for teachers at all levels of education.

The online participation for Teachers’ Climate Change Forum is open for registration. The virtual participation is free of charge – you will be able to participate in the morning sessions through a link, which we send to you after registration. Topics range from young people’s climate attitudes in Europe and ideas for effective climate change education (Essi Aarnio-Linnavuori, Tampere University) to building environmental hope in the face of climate change (Anette Mansikka-aho, Tampere University).

Climate education

Teachers’ Climate Change Forum deals with climate science, climate education and the connection between these two domains. The forum has been organized since the year of 2017. In 2019, the forum was arranged at the Hyytiälä Research Station, as it is in year 2023. In years 2020-2022 the forum was online.

“Teachers’ are important agents of change in furthering climate change challenges and questions. Cooperation with the scientific community and researchers from INAR brings new perspectives to furthering sustainability. In international interaction we learn from each other!” rejoices leader of Teachers’ Climate Change Forum, professor Maija Aksela, LUMA Centre Finland, from the University of Helsinki.

Before the Teachers’ Climate Change Forum we recommend that you orientate towards climate change education with the Climate.now MOOC.
