Every two years, Science on Stage Finland organizes a national selection process for Finnish representatives for the Science on Stage festival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science on Stage Festivals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Science on Stage festivals are Europe\u2019s largest educational event for STEM teachers. The goal of the international event is to share ideas, learn new approaches, and connect with colleagues from around the world. The most recent event was held in August 2024 in Turku, Finland. You can view photos from the event <a href=\"https:\/\/www.science-on-stage.eu\/news\/sons2024-pictures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">via this link<\/a> and explore the projects showcased in Turku <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sons2024.eu\/festival-projects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">through this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next Science on Stage festival will take place on 28\u201331 May 2026 in Klaip\u0117da, Lithuania. Klaip\u0117da is Lithuania\u2019s third-largest city and its largest coastal city. The theme for the 2026 event is STEAM Education: Innovation Meets Creativity and Responsibility. LUMA Centre Finland is actively involved in Science on Stage Finland, which is why it organized the selection process for Finnish teachers to participate in the event. The application period was open from 1 March to 31 October 2025. The location for the 2028 festival has not yet been decided. We will update this page when the next application period for Finnish teachers opens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Six teacher-designed and implemented projects from Finland were selected to participate in the Science on Stage 2026 festival. A project can be, for example, self-created teaching material, a project carried out with students, or a good teaching practice, such as collaboration with a municipality. The purpose of the event is for participating teachers to visit each other\u2019s stands to gain ideas for their own teaching. Each selected participant has their own stand where their project is showcased. Every project submitted through the application form was carefully evaluated. The projects were assessed by Science on Stage Finland, which includes representatives from LUMA Centre Finland, the Finnish National Agency for Education, and teachers from different educational levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Science on Stage Finland disseminates and promotes the best-practice examples of Science on Stage in Finland.
