Tule kuulemaan ajankohtaisesta tutkimuksesta Gadolinin Tiedetorstaihin!
Kemianluokka Gadolinin Tiedetorstait järjestetään kuun toisena torstaina syyskuusta alkaen aina kello 14-15. Tiedetorstai-tapahtumat pidetään etänä, ja lähetyksestä tehtävä tallenne julkaistaan Gadolinin nettisivuilla tapahtuman jälkeen. Tiedetorstait on suunnattu yläkoululaisille ja lukiolaisille sekä heidän opettajilleen, mutta toivotamme tapahtumiin tervetulleeksi kaikki tieteestä kiinnostuneet!
Toivomme ilmoittautumista tapahtumiin etukäteen, ja ilmoittautumislomakkeella voit lähettää kysymyksiä tiedetorstain aiheesta esiintyjälle jo etukäteen. Jokaiseen tapahtumaan on oma ilmoittautumislinkki, ja ne löytyvät kunkin tapahtuman kuvauksen yhteydestä. Osallistumislinkki tapahtumaan lähetetään ilmoittautuneille kutakin tiedetorstaita edeltävänä päivänä. Tapahtumaan voi osallistua myös ilman ennakkoilmoittautumista tapahtumakuvausten yhteydestä löytyvän osallistumislinkin kautta.

Ana Álvarez Piedehierro (Badajoz, Spain, 1986) is an atmospheric scientist who loves sharing the wonders of science with everybody, especially the little ones. She obtained her Ph.D. in Physics in Spain, focused on solar radiation. Now as a researcher at the Finnish Meteorological Insitute (FMI) she studies the role of aerosols in the making of ice clouds.
In Extremadura (Spain) she founded the science outreach project “Fis & Kids”. After moving to Finland she strengthened her commitment to science outreach through a multidisciplinary lens. She is a co-founder of Mandarina Collective, a group with a focus on art and science, and a member of Ninho Kulttuurikeskus Ry. She has performed for multicultural audiences during Kolibrí Festivaali and as Mandarina Collective also in renowned festivals like Pixelache and MadHouse Helsinki. Oranssi Lumi, a Kone-funded initiative at FMI, is her most recent contribution to building bridges between the academic research world and the outreach, education, and arts approaches.
